How time flies! It seems like just yesterday I was privileged to join other panellists at the maiden edition of The Business of Law Conference convened by the mobile powerhouse, Busola Ajala. I mentioned it here in my last events report.
The Business of Law Conference (#TBOLC2020) is back again, this time better and brighter! This year’s theme is “Visibility: Positioning Lawyers and the Legal Industry for more Business Opportunities”.
You see, the difference between my dad and I frying eggs is that I have to tell you I am frying eggs, otherwise you have no idea what I’m doing.
But my dad? The whole community will know someone is frying eggs.
The thing about Visibility is that you don’t have to lose your voice screaming, ‘I’m here, hire/do business with me!’.
Because, captain obvious.
Speakers lineup is a balanced mixture of successful lawyers and partners of leading law firms, including business development and visibility specialists. There will be four panel sessions as below:
- Visibility: A Catalyst for Business Opportunities (Session for lawyers)
- Visibility & Networking: Engaging for more. (Business Executives)
- Visibility as a Tool for Law Firm Market Viability (Law Firm Segment)
- Blazing the Trail, Gaining Prominence (Thriving & Upcoming Lawyers)
The Law Firm session is a new addition in this year’s edition. Busola Ajala says the new session was introduced to help law firms learn the strategies they can adopt in positioning for better visibility and better briefs. One of the panellists for this new session is Michael Orimobi of Tokunbo Orimobi Legal Group, whose law firm has 10 offices in 7 countries. More details on other panellists and sessions can be found on the Strictly Law Biz Instagram page.
